I got three tattoos yesterday. This was my first one, and because of how tough my skin is in that area on my foot, he had to keep going over it and it’s not finished yet. When it heals, I can go back to him and have it all fixed. But I got this for my grandpa, who passed away in April, 2011. When I was either four or five, he taught me how to count to one hundred. It’s just one of those memories that you remember so well, that it feels so much more recent than it really is.

This was my second one, and the ink definitely took to my skin a lot better. Everyone was scaring me because they said how much it would hurt on my Achilles tendon area, but it was fine :) I got this music note for my grandma, who passed away in May, 2011. She was a beautiful singer, musician, and songwriter. She played various instruments throughout her life and was always creating new songs. When she was suffering from Alzheimer’s and she couldn’t remember where she was, or who she was, she could still remember all of the lyrics to her favorite songs. She never forgot them, and she never stopped singing.

This was my last one. My chocolate lab, Timber, had to be put to sleep on February 5th, 2011. Since she was the “family dog”, I wasn’t allowed to do everything with her that I could do with my own dog, Angel. For example, ever since I was younger, I would paint Angel’s nails, but I wasn’t allowed to paint Timber’s. And Timber would always cry outside my door when I would paint Angel’s. So, on the morning that Timber was going to be put to sleep, I was spending some time with her in my room. I started to paint her nails red, but she was so excited to be in my room and to be spending time with me, that I only got one done. It was her “pinky” on her front right paw. And so, I got a red heart tattooed onto my right hand’s pinky. It’s a brighter red in person than it is in this photo.

You say you’re sorry for tellin’ stories that you know I believe are tue.
